The best way to explore the wonderful nature of Koh Yao Yai is on two wheels, taking things slowly as the Islanders do. The eco-bike tour takes you on a journey across the relatively discovered island which continues to remain virtually unchanged. The main arterial road that runs the entire length of the Koh Yao Yai meanders through the countryside past quaint village communities, farms, fishing villages and many quiet beaches and rest areas where you can stop and capture the beautiful scenery of Phang Nga Bay and the Andaman Sea.

The ride will allow for time to rest and sample a cup of freshly brewed local coffee and some delicious Thai breakfast delicacies. There will also be the chance to visit a fisherman’s village and watch the boat return laden with freshly caught prawns, fish and crab. You may even want to purchase direct from the fisherman for our Chef to cook for you when you return to the resort*. Additional sites include a visit to a rubber plantation where skilled craftsmen will demonstrate the art of rubber tapping and how rubber is cured and processed before manufacturing. Plus, there may also be the opportunity to stop by one of the rice fields and watch the farmers grow and harvest using centuries old methods.

Start your day the energetic way and take in a glorious tropical sunrise at the same time with this early morning ride to Chong Lard viewpoint. Chong Lard is considered the best place to watch the sun rise over Koh Yao islands.
