The Thai ceremony is a wonderfully spiritual yet light-hearted affair, held in the open air either in the morning or later afternoon. This traditional ceremony lasts one hour and is followed by cocktails and dinner. The ceremony starts with an age-old long drum procession which involves a long line of drummers accompanied with bells and cymbals. The procession moves through the resort as the Groom, friends and relatives join in along with the Bridesmaids wearing traditional Thai costumes and carrying symbolic gifts; the long drum procession is a colourful beautiful event and ends at the Thai style wedding pavilion where the Bride is invited to join the parade.

Thai Wedding Ceremony Highlights:

• Buddhist monks chant prayers for the couple, blessing them with health, happiness and prosperity
• The Bride and Groom kneel together and are united with holy string to symbolise their spiritual union
• Fountain of Love ceremony – a unique wedding blessing from Koh Yao Yai
• One by one the wedding guests pour a conch shell full of holy water over the couple's palms, each guest giving a blessing or congratulations to the couple as they pass.
• Planting of a wedding tree at the resort to symbolise the union

The Kayee Restaurant is an open air fine dining restaurant offering a superb location in which to wed. The location is simply stunning overlooking the infinity pool and the mystical Pah Koh islands beyond.

The Darha Library Garden is a large area of lush tropical foliage with fantastic views across the Phang Nga Bay. Imagine the scent of fragrant frangipanes and exquisite tropical garden flowers making a superbly picturesque setting.

Dining:

Select an A la carte or Buffet option, with your choice of either delicious locally fresh seafood, or Thai favorites or a western set menu. Beverage selections include Champagne, wine, cocktails, spirits, beer, soft drinks, juices and many other light refreshments.

For an additional cost you may celebrate you wedding with a post ceremony dinner on the beach. Complete with soft muted lighting and wonderfully decorated tables, dine as the sun goes down and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as day changes to night. Menu selections include a seafood basket, Thai favourites or a Western set menu charged at 1,100 THB ++ per person.
