Koh Yao Yai Village In "Phuket E-magazine"

Koh Yao Yai Village – Phang-Nga's Little Paradise

Finally, another moment of bliss has come around again. That was the way I felt as I passed through the tall, swaying rubber trees, lush green rice fields and rows of pine trees on the way to our cozy bungalows located amidst soft waves of the blue ocean. Right in the heart of Phang-Nga Bay, this sanctuary is "Koh Yao Yai Village", a hidden paradise for both Thai and overseas visitors.

As we arrived and checked ourselves into the bungalows, my friends and I went for a stroll around the property. We wandered through the huge lawn dotted with swaying trees and filled our lungs with clean ocean air. Some of us took a seat around the swimming pool while others slid up to the beach bar for a drink or two. The beach here is private, which is great for a quiet getaway with a loved one.

In the afternoon, we aimlessly wandered along the beach, chilling out and basically enjoying the breeze and sounds of the waves. At dinner time, we decided to head to Kayee Restaurant which was highly recommended by the hotel staffs for its succulent food and excellent atmosphere.

True to their words, everyone was quite impressed with both the food and lovely atmosphere. Afterwards, a few of us went to the Dalah room to check their emails or read magazines before heading back to the rooms. I was quite happy with my accommodation because it was filled with comforting amenities and offered 72 Sq. M. of living space. For those on a holiday with their families, they could choose the even more spacious Family Villas which provides up to 120 Sq. M., enough room for the little ones to run around.

After a restful night's sleep, we awoke early and proceeded to do what we each had planned the night before. Some went for a massage at Wana Spa while others went looking for souvenirs at Chaba Gallery where locally made handicrafts are sold. Those who love the outdoors might prefer to hire a speed boat for a tour around the gorgeous, surrounding islands.

At the lobby, I noticed a young European couple who seemed to be so much in love. I went up to them for chitchat and found out that they are planning to have their wedding here soon and that the hotel specializes in organizing Thai and Western style weddings. I couldn't help thinking that the next time I come back here, it might very well be for my own wedding…who knows?
